Company history
Alex Montiel dreamed of owning his own business as a child growing up in Mexico City. When he landed his first job as pot washer at the Four Seasons Inn on the Park, Alex's fate was sealed.
Enthusiastically working his way through all kitchen positions in the US and europe - including Executive Chef - Alex's dream came true in 2004 with our sister restaurant La Cocina del Sol in Crozet, VA. Following closely behind, La Cocina del Sol - Cville debuted in spring 2007 and now Brasserie Montiel located on the corner of Hydraulic and Commonwealth. Many locals know it as the former Rococo's location.
